The historic heart of Sauze d'Oulx — a charming narrow alleyway of old stone buildings, arches and traditional Piedmontese architecture. A complete contrast to the modern resort, and well worth a wander. Perfect for photographs.
Getting around for day trips
Car: Most flexible option. Oulx is on the A32 motorway — Turin is approximately 76km away (~1h15). Tolls apply on the autostrada.
Train: Oulx station is on the Turin–Lyon TGV line. Regular services to Turin Porta Nuova take approximately 45–60 minutes. The station is ~10km from the resort (bus or taxi).
Ski pass to France: The Via Lattea pass covers the ski route into Montgenèvre — no border formalities required on the mountain.
Hire a car at Turin Airport
Pick up at Turin Caselle (TRN) and return when you're done. Hiring gives you full flexibility for day trips across the Val di Susa and beyond.
