Paragliding

The launch sites above Sauze d'Oulx and the wider Val di Susa provide excellent paragliding conditions in summer. Tandem flights with a qualified instructor are available for complete beginners — no experience needed.

A tandem paragliding flight typically costs approximately €80–€150 per person (prices approximate, in €). Duration is usually 20–40 minutes depending on conditions.

Via Ferrata

Via ferrata routes (iron-fixed climbing routes) exist in the Val di Susa and surrounding mountains. These protected climbing routes use fixed iron rungs, cables and ladders drilled into the rock face, making steep terrain accessible to non-technical climbers with the right equipment.

A via ferrata harness and helmet are required — these can be hired from outdoor equipment shops in the valley. Always check current conditions and route difficulty before attempting a route.

White Water

The Val di Susa's rivers — fed by glacial meltwater — offer white water rafting and kayaking opportunities, particularly in spring and early summer when flows are high.

Climbing

Zip Lines & Canopy Tours

High-rope adventure parks and zip line experiences operate in the Val di Susa area during the summer season. These are particularly popular with families and older children.
